Getting started - the links you need.

  • https://hosted28.renlearn.com/231198/ the main page for students and teachers to login
  • www.arbookfind.comhere you can look up books to see if they are in AR and check for quiz number, book level, and points.
  • www.renlearn.com set up account - all kinds of training available. I like the "on demand sessions" they are short and cover one topic at a time. This site includes the Goal Setting Calculator.

FOLLOW THESE GUIDELINES WHEN SENDING STUDENTS TO THE LIBRARY:

  • students must have their AR folder - it is also their pass to the library
  • if taking a test, the book title must be written down in the log, preferably with the quiz#. I monitor testing to be sure they aren't sitting there trying to remember every book they have ever read, or movie they have seen.
  • For me to assist them in selecting the correct book, the ZPD must be recorded on the reading log
TIMES TO SEND THEM TO THE LIBRARY:
7:30 - 7:45 (for testing only)
7:45 - 9:45 (testing and check out)
12:30 - 12:55 (testing and check out)
Students may come in at any time the library is open for testing only.

  • Goal setting is an important step that needs to be completed. Students ask me, "what goes here?" This will help to motivate them to get some points if there is a goal for them to meet. This goal calculator makes it easy. http://argoals.renlearn.com/
